Publishing Assistance

Traditional publishing

I want to publish traditionally

But I don’t know anything about the process. What’s an agent? Do I need one? What’s a query letter and how do I write one? We will guide you through the process and help you to find the agents and publishing houses that are most likely to take your novel. We can provide you with best practices for writing a query letter, help you write one, and edit any letters you have to ensure you have a better chance at getting noticed by a big publisher. We will also evaluate your goals and dreams for your book to help you decide if this really is the best path for you based on your genre and your hopes. There are no guarantees in publishing, but having someone review your work before submitting it in any field gives you an edge above your competition.

I want to self-publish

Whether you publish traditionally or self-publish, the biggest deciding factor in the success of the publication of your novel is whether or not you publish your book professionally. At Awen Books and More, while we are not a publisher, we do have knowledge of the many types of self-publishing platforms and we can help you decide which option is best for you. If you want to publish a family memoir to share with your loved ones, the route you will take to publish your book is much different than if you want to grow your readership and become a well-known (by today’s standards) author. If you know you want to self-publish but you are unclear on what platform you want to use or even what your options are, we can help.
